Job Overview

Reporting to the AMS Manager, the AMS Field Service Coordinator must have a proven track record in field service activities and scheduling/planning management background.

Responsibilities

  • Develop workflow assignments for the Installation/Commissioning/Service team; assist with developing goal setting, training, and skill enhancement programs.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and proactively obtain customer feedback.
  • Support Installation/Commissioning/Service teams in establishing and achievement of service goals.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through high quality work and personal integrity.
  • Review Field Service Reports, time sheets, and receipts for accuracy.
  • Prepare quotations for on-site support.
  • Prepare and submit Summary of Charges for customer review. Negotiate disputes regarding billable vs. non-billable charges.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing department to request POs and Accounting department to request invoicing to customers.
  • Prepare or ensure there is a valid Export Compliance Verification Form associated to the Installation/Commissioning/Service mission.
  • Maintain Installation/Commissioning/Service team schedule.
  • Assist with researching visa requirements. Prepare travel arrangements if needed.
  • Coordinate with EHS/HR teams as needed for mission preparation.
  • Participate in AMS Handovers meeting with the Prime Project Management team.
  • Must be deadline oriented, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple orders/site visits at once.
  • Must be able to quickly switch focus when emergencies arise that require immediate attention.
  • Establish future revenue opportunities by leveraging the service team’s expertise and product portfolio to provide additional services to customers.
  • Reporting and forecasting of financial targets, utilization and other key performance indicators on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Native or Advanced Level), including business and legal vocabulary. Japanese and/or any other languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Technical Sales, Mechanical Engineering, or related field experience is preferred. Equivalent experience will be reviewed.
  • Five plus years of field service experience preferred.   
  • Experience in bidding/proposal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical and commercial perspective.
  • The ability to read, understand, and apply schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and ISO/OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Strong research and troubleshooting ability.
  • Quick learner and able to maintain excellent personal relationships with customers.
  • Can work under pressure and tight deadlines projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; field report writing.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Pivot Tables; Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Teams, Zoom or similar advanced knowledge preferred.
  • Salesforce, Concur or similar advanced knowledge preferred.
  • ERP familiar preferred.
  • May require team or customer support outside of regular working hours should emergencies arise.

Environmental Safety Requirements:

  • New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness
  • All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EH&S Technician
  • Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
  • Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include, face coverings, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso Cryo safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination
