The Salvation Army in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking to fill a Caseworker Position in our Homeless Services unit. The successful candidate for this position will have a knowledge of criteria for food, rent, and utility assistance processes, strong oral and communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting. This position is benefit eligible and comes with vacation, sick, health, vision, life insurance, and more.
The Case Worker will collaborate with the Homeless Services Housing Specialist to identify suitable housing for each client. This position will research private market landlord availability, conduct interviews, assess immediate and long term needs for permanent supporting housing options. This person will assist the case manager with providing case management and needed services to low income and/or at-risk individuals/families in compliance with program policies and procedures. Other duties will include but are not limited to preparing and submitting required reports, writing accurate and concise case notes and enter into CMIS and lead and teach classes relating to banking, budgeting and other basic life skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
