Large Construction Company looking for a Grading Superintendent to join our growing organization. The position duties and responsibilities include the following; Coordinate scheduling requests with vendors and client superintendents, communicate possible delays or problems to appropriate parties, furnish and submit field proposals, daily planning and scheduling activities, monitor grading crews and truck drivers daily performance and ensure schedule is met, collaborate with sales, purchasing and construction teams. 

Schedule Monday through Friday, Saturdays (as necessary). Typical work week 40-50 hrs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of reading grading stakes, shooting elevations and grading to survey points.
  • 3-5+ Years in Construction related position, Preferred
  • Excellent customer services skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reading civil grading plans, finish grading plans and Plot planned data.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities
  • Spanish Speaking not required, is a plus.
  • Highly analytical, with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Basic Southwest Gas safety training.
  • Basic Call before you dig safety training.
  • Osha 30 Safety Card
Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a similar position.
  • Possess an appropriate knowledge of semis trucks, heavy equipment (backhoes, excavators, etc...) trailers, tractors.
