INVENTORY MANAGER THRIVE CANNABIS MARKETPLACE

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Inventory Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the processing of all incoming cannabis products through their life cycle at the retail store while following the guidelines set forth by the Thrive Cannabis Marketplace and the Cannabis Compliance Board. You are a driven and highly organized professional with a passion for the cannabis industry. You will play a crucial role in record keeping, employee development, and maintaining compliance at the store level. This position is bonus eligible. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendor and Employee Relations 

  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards vendors at all times

  • Knowing our products inside and out; being able to answer any questions about about product specifics, pricing, and availability

  • Inspires consumer confidence and creates loyalty to the Company’s brand

  • Ability to stay calm and professional in difficult situations

  • Monitors completion of store level administrative duties, relating to inventory

  • Provides training and ongoing support to Inventory Associates to ensure success within their roles

Compliance

  • Maintains appropriate knowledge of all applicable state and local laws and regulations, as well as processes in accordance with The Cannabis Compliance Board and Dispensary policies and procedures

  • Follows proper protocol for checking identification and not selling or giving away product to unqualified purchasers

  • Adheres to state regulations on purchase limits

  • Verify deliveries and evaluate the integrity of vendor transactions, providing feedback to management regarding indications of misappropriation

  • Ensures all products received are quality checked, properly labeled and are accounted for within the company's inventory system 

  • Accurately operate within METRC and the Company’s ICS (Inventory Control System)

  • Maintaining accurate logs per the state and Company's requirements

  • Coordinates with Inventory Control Manager to conduct inventory verifications, adjustments, returns, and transfers    

  • Ensures maintenance of all documents, so that materials are available for dispensary use

Operations

  • Oversees all inventory throughout its entire life cycle at the assigned retail location

  • Assists in proper vendor payment by inputting all product invoices 

  • Monitor and evaluate cannabis inventory and provide feedback to management regarding slow moving product or products that are nearing their expiration dates

  • Oversees and schedules inventory audits at assigned retail location

  • Ensure inventory vaults are organized, and inventory is properly labeled and stored

  • Ensures Company goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met

  • Regularly checking communication platforms; participating when necessary

  • Assists with organization of product throughout the facility

  • Constantly reviews and looks for opportunities to improve inventory processes or workflows

  • Other duties as assigned by Retail Store Manager or Inventory Control Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations by supervising the Dispensary a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts 

  • Experience in inventory control or management

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices

  • Familiarity with state and local regulations pertaining to cannabis inventory control 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment while demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail, effective time-management, and ability to multitask

  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be on your feet up to 10 hours

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed 

  • Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended amounts of time

  • Ability to be in front of a monitor throughout the shift

Requirements

  • Must be age 21 or older 

  • Ability to obtain required state and city work cards

  • High school diploma or equivalent
