About the Position
Become a part of our Transdev team as a maintenance manager and assist with overseeing the maintenance repairs of buses and other vehicles according to Transdev and contract requirements. We hire individuals who make safety and customer service their top priorities. We are looking for you if you have the drive, confidence, and determination to succeed! - Supervises the maintenance repairs of buses, other vehicles, and equipment to contract requirements.
- Schedules and administers fleet maintenance and assists in troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatch and other operations personnel.

In relation to subordinates, the manager is responsible for hiring, firing, and approving salary increases or decreases; training and employee development; planning and directing the work; and disciplining.
- Handling employee complaints or grievances and performance reviews, while the manager of Main Maintenance is required to make personnel-related recommendations.
- Works closely with the General Manager and Region Maintenance Management, providing status of maintenance and budget requirements.
- May review financial and budget variances, repair orders, or code and approve account payable documents.
- Ensures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal, and Company requirements.
- Ensures a safe environment exists and that all maintenance and related activities conform with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review repair orders, order parts, and subcontract repair work.

Initiates and implements projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are trained on current operating procedures, adequately equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
- Supervises bus fueling. May arrange services for building and groundskeeping.
- Completes special projects as assigned and is required to perform hands-on work activities.
Qualifications
- Technical training preferred
- 5 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience.
- Direct automotive, diesel, or alternative fuel repair experience.
- Experience with Cutaway buses is a plus.
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
