A Powder Coater is responsible for applying powder coatings to metal, plastic, or other surfaces using specialized equipment. This role involves preparing surfaces, operating coating machinery, and ensuring a high-quality finish that meets company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, attention to detail, and knowledge of safety procedures related to powder coating processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of powder coating experience as well as proper training in powder coating techniques, operations, and safety.
- The ability to use and familiarize oneself with Cole Kepro powder coating guns as well as perform the physical aspects associated with powder coating operations.
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with other team members.
- Must be able and willing to follow verbal instructions of supervisors.
General Responsibilities:
- Perform powder coating processes in accordance to manufacturer specifications and prescribed procedures safely and with high quality standards.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Carry out other assignments or cross train and work in different departments when directed by the powder coating manager.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on the powder coating equipment as required.
- Maintain and track an accurate powder inventory. (Daily Paint Usage)
