Job Summary The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations in the beverage company warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory, compliance with safety regulations, and effective management of warehouse staff. This role involves coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing stock levels, and optimizing warehouse processes to support the company’s supply chain and customer satisfaction goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and shipping of products. Ensure accurate inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.
Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders. Resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Process Improvement: Keeping track and maintaining quality systems put in place.
Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners. Clean the machines. Schedule and coordinate equipment repairs and servicing.
Customer Service: Address and resolve any issues related to orders, shipments, or inventory discrepancies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in the beverage industry is a plus.
Skills:
Experience driving a forklift.
Capable of learning the complexities of the machines and their screens.
Experience with PET or plastics processing.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures and conditions.
Working Conditions
Standard warehouse environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Ability to be flexible in working shifts. May require weekend or overtime work based on operational needs.
