As a Project Manager supporting our Rentals team, you'll work with our production and account teams in monitoring & managing projects statuses, implementing creative solutions, allocating budgets, and distribute resources on assigned rental projects. This position must reside within our Corporate - Las Vegas office. Project Manager - Rental Responsibilities

  • Review all work orders for required information prior to starting the project
  • Ensure credit checks and deposits are taking place per company policy
  • Execute work order / part breakdown to facilitate job control and billing.  Assign labor (by Op code) and material (by commodity code)
  • Review the estimate for general agreement with completeness, hours, materials, and subcontract $’s
  • Process rush orders immediately and hand carry to Production Supervisor
  • Determine the need and scope for detail drawings / set up drawings and initiate all work with detailing
  • Place purchase order requisitions for direct purchases and inform the stockroom in advance for any large quantity stock items required
  • Lead quality put-to-detail, put-to-work, put-to-divisional logistics and final job review prior to ship meetings.
  • Ensure all parties are clear on their scope of work including production workers clarity on hours to perform
  • Meet with shop personnel and supervisors regularly to make sure personnel have complete info to keep working and that hours are maintained
  • Communicate project status at weekly production meetings with emphasis on project quality, timing and budget
  • Problems must be openly communicated for staff awareness and solutions;
    • Severe quality, timing, or budget problems must be put in writing to the Rental Director and
    • Account Executive with immediate solution. This information includes the problem, the quantified $ estimate and the solution. This documentation is retained in the job jacket
  • Respond to client in Account Executives absence
  • Using JDE as a tool Manage to Derse Standard.  Project Managers are directly responsible for all performance variances
  • Direct job close out at weekly production meetings to support timely client billing
  • Review final JDE job summaries and communicate any billing extra’s or needed info to administration billing to support favorable job variances
  • Maintain Project Management records per Derse policy and procedures including but not limited to standardized physical files and all digital documentation placed in the appropriate client folders on the network
  • Produce estimate pick lists and production pick lists
  • Ensure all three project management goals are met including project quality, on time, on budget
Requirements

Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Associate degree and five + years of relevant experience
  • Previous exhibit / project management experience within Rental is preferred
  • Construction or architectural background a plus
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to handle many projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel to show site as determined and or required
