Job Summary
The Assembly Supervisor is a leadership position responsible for managing and supervising multiple teams in the South zone. This role requires strong familiarity with lumber, MGO, foam, and standard manufacturing techniques, making it like a production line supervisor. The Assembly Supervisor will provide leadership, training, and supervision to the team, enforce policies, and ensure high performance levels. They will collaborate with other supervisors, leads, and cross-functional teams to maintain a safe and productive work environment while achieving consistent and accurate results.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Leadership and Team Management:
o Manage, direct, and coach multiple teams of skilled professionals in the South zone.
o Foster effective communication and collaboration among supervisors, leads, and the production manager.
o Enforce policies related to attendance, performance, safety, and quality.
o Report any policy violations to the production manager.
o Harmonize the contributions of all stakeholders to achieve success.
o Set performance metrics and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
o Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Work Coordination and Communication:
o Coordinate and prioritize work activities in the South zone to meet production goals.
o Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the production manager.
o Collaborate with the quality and engineering teams as necessary.
o Report material shortages, quality issues, incidents, injuries, delays, and other relevant factors.
o Read and understand prints and drawings accurately.
o Utilize advanced computer skills for job functions.
• Safety and Compliance:
o Enforce safety protocols, policies, and procedures consistently.
o Ensure adherence to attendance and performance standards.
o Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Process Improvement and Adaptability:
o Follow instructions and collaborate effectively with management and supervision.
o Strictly adhere to processes and policies.
o Adapt to changes in processes, equipment, and materials as required.
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest enhancements.
• Other Duties:
o Perform any other duties assigned by the production manager.
Experience and Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or management experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of trade knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong familiarity with lumber, MGO, foam, and standard manufacturing techniques.
• Experience as a production line supervisor is highly desirable.
• Excellent managerial and coaching abilities to oversee multiple teams effectively.
• Logical mindset and process-oriented approach.
• Consistency and accuracy in achieving desired outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage and harmonize contributions from various stakeholders.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in maximizing productivity while controlling costs.

• Must be able to sit at a desk for several hours at a time and operate basic office equipment.

• May require bending and reaching in areas from floor level to six feet high.
• Must be able to climb and work off ladders daily.
• Must be able to walk & stand on feet for long periods of time 8-10 hours daily.
• Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is usually moderate to high.
• Work may require some weekend and evening work. No travel is expected. No remote work is available currently.
