This Opportunity:
The Content Developer is responsible for working with program/business owners and subject matter experts to determine, propose and design training materials that meet business and learning objectives and successfully addresses knowledge and performance gaps. This position develops synchronous and asynchronous learning materials using various technologies and methodologies that align with the established adult learning principles.

A Day in the Life of a Content Developer:
Use the identified instructional design model to design, develop and maintain informal and formal learning solutions using available software
• Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and/or Program/Business owners to conduct needs assessments and convert results into a design that meets the business requirements
• Collaborate to translate the business need into the appropriate learning approach using adult learning theory and the appropriate design method
• Apply Bloom’s taxonomy to create/verify learning objectives at the appropriate level to meet business outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs) (comprehension, application, analysis, etc.)
• Design assessments, content, and practice exercises that align with objectives at the appropriate level (comprehension, application, analysis, etc.)
• Design and develop synchronous and asynchronous learning materials that prepare learners to succeed on assessments
• Review with program/business owner the success of programs developed
• Validate and maintain accurate work completion records, assets, and solutions
• Follow and apply new learning trends and technologies in work products
• Document project progress in a timely manner and manage program/business owner expectations
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
Qualifications:
There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. Five to Seven years of relevant work experience in the Essential Job Responsibilities are required, or a combination of Education and Work Experience.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery; visual capacity to read policies and procedures, rules, regulations, reports, statistical information, computer monitors, hard copy print and other documents encountered during the course of work; oral and auditory capacity enabling communication at conversational levels in person, during presentations and/or over the telephone; mobility sufficient to safely move within an office environment and travel to different sites inside and outside service territories; ability to lift and carry routine office supplies; stamina sufficient to maintain efficiency throughout the course of the work day.
Work Environment:
Primary work environment is a climate-controlled office setting. Work may involve travel to various locations inside and outside service territories.
