ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grounds Maintenance Laborer performs a variety of duties necessary to the general maintenance and upkeep of the grounds of the facilities.

• Maintains grounds of NNSA-Nevada including trimming hedges, pruning shrubs using hand tools, fertilizing shrubs, and repairing structures such as irrigation systems.
• Removes leaves and debris from premises.
• Power washing areas needed.
• Responsible for overall appearance of the grounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must have one year’s related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in grounds maintenance, demonstrate expertise in the field and be physically able to perform the duties of the job. 
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
