This position is responsible for providing HR support to the facility associates, and management team and for the performance of administrative duties as required by management. This position will work closely with the leadership team and the HR manager and will serve as a key contributor across various HR functions.

Responsibilities

Provide support to recruiting by creating and posting hourly jobs in applicant tracking system, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, conducting assessments, facilitating background checks and drug tests, and conducting new hire orientation;

Maintains Personnel files for hourly associates.

Promote employee morale through individual relationships and effective communication and coordinating recognition programs and events

Communicate Human Resources policies and procedures;

Listen to associate concerns and elevate issues to the appropriate individuals

Administer time and attendance and submit for weekly hourly payroll submission;

Serve as Safety Liaison for supervisors and onsite customer;

Maintains reports such as weekly HR Dashboard, attendance tracking, and performance management logs

Handle the administration and coordination of associate communications;

Schedule, organize, and help facilitate associate and/or safety meetings as needed;

Prepares First Report of Injury for workers compensation and works closely with team to manage WC claims

Coordinate contacts, billing and reconciliations with temporary agencies;

May also assist or perform other office administrative functions such as managing accounts payable, maintaining the PO [purchase order] log, processing invoices and keying KPI metrics/data into the system;

Efficiently perform the sorting, filing documents as needed/requested; and

Effectively communicate with management, owner operators and customers

Education/Experience

High school degree required. College credit toward Associates or Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Human Resources is a plus.

One–three years of HR Generalist experience with a basic knowledge of labor laws strongly preferred. Clerical/Administrative experience in a distribution or similar environment is a plus.

Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and excellent data entry skills.

Experience working with complex information systems; Kronos, Workday and/or other similar systems experience is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.

Must be extremely organized, detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Although primarily a day job, must have the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime occasionally, as needed.
