JOB SUMMARY:

This Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing human resources operations within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on fostering a productive workforce, managing labor relations, optimizing human resources processes, and supporting employee development. The Human Resources Manager collaborates closely with department heads and senior leadership to address workforce needs, ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and create a positive workplace culture aligned with Channell Commercial Corporation’s mission and goals.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify and recruit on a timely and organized basis the talent required to achieve and sustain business plan initiatives and commitments
  • Manage the effective onboarding of new hires with temporary employee conversion to support manufacturing production
  • Manage temporary employee agency services to support manufacturing production
  • Manage, sustain, and leverage competitive compensation programs for all employees
  • In collaboration with site leadership staff, implement effective performance assessment designed to measure individual performance as well as identify opportunities for organizational improvement and sustainability
  • Strategically identify and implement, as necessary, training and development programs to further improve job performance for company-wide effectiveness
  • Assess, propose, and develop employee engagement initiatives and programs that will encourage employee engagement to sustain positive employee morale
  • Identify high potential employees, key employees, and key positions to develop effective succession planning growth and development with leadership staff
  • Provide Human Resources council to individual employees, supervision, and leadership staff to ensure policy and legal compliance at both the state and federal level
  • Provide proficient knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Safety & Health to ensure federal and state employment law compliance
  • Manage Human Resources by building positive relationships, developing, and coaching to achieve success, role modeling for all and providing levelheaded, common sensed approach to all matters

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or similar field.  Advanced degree and or continued education is a plus
  • 7+ years or more with Human Resources experience encompassing increasing leadership responsibility
  • Experienced Human Resources leadership with start-up, development and deployment of a new manufacturing facility is a plus
  • Manufacturing industry and or operations experience with an employee base of 150 or more employees is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:  The physical demands and working conditions requirements indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions.

Physical Demands:  Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carrying office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 30 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, and verbal communication.

Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
