Job Summary:

Nevada Partners, Inc. is essential to closing the gap between job seekers and employers within the community. The job Developer is responsible for seeking out and creating employment opportunities for job seekers by building relationships with potential employers, identifying suitable job opportunities, and assisting clients through the required employment process to secure a successful opportunity. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with companies across various industries to identify potential job opportunities.  
  • Assess the skills and experience of client job seekers. 
  • Provide resume writing assistance, interview coaching, and career counseling. 
  • Stay up on current employment trends and opportunities in the community.  
  • Organized and coordinated job fairs, workshops, and other supportive activities for clients.  
  • Collaborate with community organizations to promote opportunities.  
  • Monitor and manage clients to ensure job success. 
  • Provide required reports to the management team.  
  • Participate in Nevada Partners, Inc. meetings when applicable. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Experience and desire to work with various vulnerable populations.     
  • Demonstrated knowledge of participant community resources and services. 
  • Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively. 
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 

 Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. 

Two to four years of experience in providing job development, staffing, or business services in non/for-profit organizations.  

 

Work Environment: 

Combination of field and office setting in which team members have a strong camaraderie and a good work ethic. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

Walking, standing, and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
