Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair various pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components and systems.
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of welding equipment, electric motors, and pressure systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties by following routines and providing detailed documentation in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and recommend solutions to recurring issues.
  • Diagnose and repair basic facility issues such as plumbing, electrical/lighting, door locks, and irrigation. Experience with Electrical and Lighting Ballasts a plus.
  • Organize the work area and maintain spare parts according to 5S standard practices.
  • Provide support to manufacturing groups by performing non-routine service requests to assure maximum equipment uptime.
  • Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and carious hand tools.
  • Follow safety policies and practices established by our Manufacturing safety and maintenance program including by not limited to Personal Protection (PPE) Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Electrical Safety, and maintenance safety guidelines. Advise management of any potential risk to equipment downtime and provides a corrective and countermeasure plan.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and proficiency diagnosing and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and fluid systems/equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and carious assembly drawings.
  • Experience working on various material handling equipment such as electric pallet jackets, forklifts, and overhead and jib cranes.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Familiarity with disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders, valves, and hoses.
  • Ability to work on-site during operational hours with occasional overtime as required.
