Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Management Systems Manager, you will lead a team tasked with providing systems, data and reporting solutions to the Supply Chain Organization. You will support the development of strategic goals and lead planning and implementation of key initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional, leadership for a team tasked with understanding, maintaining, analyzing, and improving the Oracle Fusion Purchasing System and other Supply Chain data systems and processes.
  • Lead analysis of the purchasing systems and current reporting to identify system failures, gaps in data or other issues.
  • Spearhead effort to provide improved digital reporting, workflow and metrics systems to the Supply Chain Management Organization to include:
    • Development of data dashboards
    • Automated reporting
    • Process improvement using current systems
    • Recommendations on additional systems and software that would further enhance Supply’s Chain’s ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Directly engages to develop and integrate new processes within the organization in a dynamic and proactive manner.
  • Collaborate with organizations across the division, MSTS, The Nevada Enterprise and NNSA.
  • Develop and maintain staffing levels appropriate to support execution of current and projected mission needs.
  • Motivate and mentor staff to assure their success in the execution of their duties.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and understanding of authorizations for carrying out requirements.
  • Drive positive culture change, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high standards by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends and recommending system improvements.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Create an environment where employees feel safe to raise issues, empowered to address issues, and supported to resolve issues.
  • Promote ‘organizational learning’ concepts and provide leadership that encourages continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 11 years of related and progressively responsible experience.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a Supply Chain Management/Procurement environment.
  • Demonstrate effective people management experience, including program planning, budgeting, and staffing.
  • Broad applied knowledge and expertise in leadership, supervision, personnel management, resource planning and control, and significant organizational and technical experience preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Procurement or Supply Chain systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing systems projects, implementations, and enhancements.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading complex technical process improvement efforts to successful completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong and effective customer relations and to anticipate change and adjust promptly and effectively.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to bridge communications between technical personnel, end users and leadership.
    • Effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be innovative and have demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Work schedule will be either 4/10s, 9/80s or 5/8s (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is: $121,326.40 - $194,126.40.

 

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
