ABSTRACT OF THE POSITION:
The Lead Pre-K Teacher oversees the care and development of up to fifteen (15) children aged 3-5 years (including those with special needs) under the guidance of the Early Head Start/Pre-K Center Director and general supervision of the Education Managers. This primary caregiver is responsible for organizing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social and self-help skills, problem-solving, and personal relationships. The Lead Pre-K Teacher maintains a clean, safe, and orderly physical environment, supervises classroom activities, and participates in parent education and involvement. Regulatory compliance with Nevada Ready Pre-K, SNHD, and Nevada State Licensing is required, and the Lead Pre-K Teacher may be assigned to different classrooms/centers and tasks as needed to achieve program goals.
Non-degreed teachers are required to Participate in the T.E.A.C.H program is until the Lead Pre-K Teacher is fully compliant with educational requirements.
