Professional Electrical Engineer

Essential Job Funtions:

• A self-motivating personality with good communication skills is desired.
• Client interaction and coordination on a frequent basis.
• Effectively fosters relationships with team members and clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators.
• Participates in business development activities, such as; marketing, developing project win strategies, and preparing technical data for proposals and interviews.
• Ensure quality program management with implementation of quality control standards.
• A solid understanding of the National Electrical Code and its application.

Responsibilities:

• Creation and management of the electrical scope of work for the project.
• Oversee development of detailed design drawings including one line diagrams, plans, details, wiring diagrams and fabrication drawings. Proficiency with SKM system analysis software and short circuit and arc flash analysis.
• Sizing of overall electrical power distribution systems including service entrances, switchgear, MCCs, panel boards, unit substations, and transformer sizing.
• Specification, selection and review of electrical equipment to meet the performance requirements.
• Develop and maintain labor and material estimates and budgets for projects.
• Develop and maintain progress, quality control, schedule, staffing planning and coordination with project management including regular reporting.
• Coordination of communications between the project team, the engineering and design team members to assure quality of work.
