Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Press Punch Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating punch press machines to shape, cut, or form metal and other materials according to specifications. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality control in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate punch press machines according to job specifications and work orders
• Load materials into the press and ensure proper alignment and positioning
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
• Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure compliance with safety and production standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to a supervisor
• Record production data and complete required documentation accurately

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience operating a punch press or similar machine in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with progressive die setups
• Familiarity with CNC or other automated press machines
• Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers
