Position Overview
Coastline Equipment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative - Milling, Paving and Crushing to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the sales of Wirtgen products and related technologies, including machine control systems such as Topcon and Level-Pro, across our service areas. The individual will provide technical assistance, drive machine sales, and promote our service capabilities for products like Wirtgen, Vogele, Hamm, and Kleeman. This position will play a critical part in both increasing product sales and ensuring the success of our customers through exceptional service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Technical Support: Provide technical and application support during sales of milling, paving, and crushing equipment.
Customer Growth: Promote and grow Coastline Equipment's customer base through the sales of service contracts and technical parts support.
Training & Development: Offer product operation, diagnostic, and technical training to Coastline technicians, sales employees, and customers to enhance their product knowledge and operational efficiency.
Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Support: Conduct diagnostics and determine necessary repairs for Wirtgen, Vogele, Hamm, Kleeman, and related machinery.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review reports and warranty documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
Machine Testing & Performance: Test mechanical products post-repair/assembly to confirm performance and regulatory compliance.
Product Expertise: Stay updated with the latest product knowledge on relevant machinery and technologies to provide expert advice and guidance.


 


 

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
 
Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification from a college or technical school is a plus.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in paving, compaction, milling, or a related field, preferably in an Operator, Technician, or Sales capacity.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude for diagnostics, machine inspections, setup, and technical troubleshooting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with branch staff, vendors, and clients.
Preferred Experience

Industry Expertise: Experience in road building, construction, GPS, machine control technologies, quarry, aggregate, mining, crushing, and screening.
Certifications: One-year certificate from a college or technical school or three years of related experience/training in a subordinate role.
Work Environment

Location: This role will be based out of the North Las Vegas branch, with the ability to travel as needed throughout the region.
Schedule Flexibility: Occasional overnight stays and weekend work may be required.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various physical conditions.
Driving: Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening are required.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including the technical service and product support teams.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 base salary + commission based on sales performance.
