We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Design Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to lead a talented engineering team. This role is crucial in driving the development of cutting-edge designs, ensuring manufacturability, and optimizing processes. As the Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading design projects from concept to production, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams to achieve project objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of products from concept through production.
  • Mentor and supervise a team of design engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and scalability in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct design reviews, feasibility assessments, and testing to validate product functionality, safety, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to resolve design challenges and improve production processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in design innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of design engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in product design and development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers through complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
