About this role
The Senior Operations Manager Copackaging AKA Copack leads a department responsible for the highest quality production of a range of beverages while conforming to rigorous quality standards. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager develops and leads strategic initiatives that support the overall objectives of the company while managing their cost center and reducing wastes through continuous improvement. The Operations Manager is accountable for several co-packing KPI's including Overall Equipment Effectiveness, OEE.

A day in the life: What you do
Leads a team of employees to create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
Manage, supervise, and develop a cross functional team of packaging employees, including team building, coaching, and building respectful and meaningful relationships
Develops and implements the mission, vision, and strategic plan for the Packaging Department
Oversees all can sleeving operations of the Packaging Department
Hiring, evaluation and disciplinary action of department employees
Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, applicable state laws and OSHA regulations
Supports and optimizes the maintenance and production plans on multiple high-speed packaging lines
Collaborates with peers to meet KPI objectives and to develop short- and long-term goals that are aligned with Wildpack’s business objectives
Provide technical expertise and direction for packaging material specifications and equipment designs, layout, installation, and startup
Creates departmental budget while tracking expenditures, usage, and inventory
Qualifications: What you know
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as engineering or food science OR any combinations of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent required
2 years’ experience working with ERP System (SAP, JD Edward, Odoo, etc.)
3 years team leadership experience
Operation Excellence tools (i.e., Lean Manufacturing Tools)
Competent with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (i.e., MS365, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated mechanical ability & technical aptitude
Knowledge of complex systems, automated processes, and quality control
Team player with the ability to work autonomously
Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement procedures for solutions
Excellent communication skills
Able to work in an environment of growth and speed of efficient execution of new systems and ideas
