EGS Is seeking a Senior/Principal Architect for our DOE Customer in North Las Vegas. This position is a local position reporting to the North Las Vegas facility and may require periodic trips to the NNSS for project walkdowns and/ or stakeholder meeting. Qualified candidates will develop functional and operational requirements for Functional and Operational Requirements Documents as well as supporting documentation: program/task breakdowns, project/component breakdown, program package (site layouts, floor plans, pre-conceptual designs) for infrastructure, utility, and building projects.
MUST BE US CITIZEN.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
* Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, MSTS or customer organizations, or projects.
* Expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
* Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
* Conduct construction document reviews as required.
* Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
* Interface with other design/construction disciplines, MSTS management and customers, as necessary.
* Familiarity with MicroStation computer aided drafting applications is required.

Prefer working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor of Architecture with a minimum of 12 years' professional architectural experience in relevant design/field experience required.
* Registered Architect with current state registration. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred.
