Position Summary
The Instructor & Operations Associate will be responsible for delivering teaching HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing curricula in a classroom setting. The Instructor will also assist with the successful implementation of operations and administration associated with educational programming for the apprentice program.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching both HVAC and Plumbing and will bring their inexhaustible energy and positive disposition into both the classroom and the office.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications (starting at $82,000).
Responsibilities
- Implement school test prep, and curriculum..
- Support students in after-school and weekends throughout the course of the semester.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in similar content areas throughout the apprentice program.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships and rapport with students, staff, and partners, maintaining a focus on student service.
- Assist with the implementation, documentation, and improvement of key business processes, including data aggregation, analysis, reporting, and action.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings;;
- ability to teach in-person in Las Vegas;
- subject-matter expertise in elementary, middle, and high school subjects, including knowledge trade school standards;
- excellent communication, collaboration, and people skills and instincts;
- inexhaustible drive, energy, enthusiasm, and mental agility;
- proven verbal and written communication skills, including a thorough command of the English language
- intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace;
Preferred Qualifications
Extra credit for someone who has:
- 5+ years' experience teaching in both in-person and online classroom settings;
- administrative experience managing classroom rosters, student information and data, and liaising with parents, students, and partners;
- demonstrable project management skills and commitment to quality and timeliness;
