Job Description: Test Engineer (Electrical Connectors)

Position Overview:

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analyzing tests for Electrical Connectors. Your role will involve working with engineering, quality, and external test labs to ensure the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Design:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and procedures for Electrical Connectors.
  • Design and create test fixtures; assist in cabling and assembling connectors for testing.

Test Execution and Analysis:

  • Execute tests per military (Mil-) requirements and ensure accurate documentation of test results.
  • Analyze test results to identify and report defects or issues that may arise.
  • Track and manage defects through the full defect lifecycle, from identification to resolution.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure alignment with product standards and objectives.
  • Communicate test results and findings clearly and concisely to all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external test labs for shock and vibration testing, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Actively participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in a variety of testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with testing tools, automation frameworks, and data analysis software.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of automation strategies for testing.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize testing processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date with the latest advancements in testing technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in testing Electrical Connectors or similar products is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
