Primary Job Function

The primary job function is responsible for the timely transport of individuals to various locations and accompanying them to medical/dental appointments, grocery stores, job sites, and any errands the individuals may need to take care of by the direction of LifeSkills Unlimited Administration

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Jovona Dowdell
  • Always maintaining professionalism in accordance with LifesSkills policies and procedures
  • Supervise and support individuals with completing their daily activity/task
  • Ensure company vehicle is up to standards by completing the Employee Vehicle Safety Inspection Checklist
  • Report any breakdown of vehicle or maintenance concerns to LifeSkills Unlimited
  • Vehicle must be cleaned and maintained
  • Must have a current Nevada Driver’s License with zero infractions/tickets
  • Complete documentation if needed pertaining to activity
  • Attend all training as needed pertaining to transportation needs
  • Complete all other duties or assignment as directed by a member of LifeSkills Unlimited
  • Daily schedules – Variable shift 5 days Monday through Friday and possible Saturday for special events (seasonal) To be discussed at interview.

 

Skills/Expertise

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Negative 2-part PPD
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Criminal background check with no convictions (done by NHP fingerprinting system)
  • Avert background check
  • Pre-employment Drug Testing
  • Valid, unrestricted Nevada driver’s license
  • Clean DMV record
  • Two positive professional references and one positive personal reference (minimum)
  • Positive Behavior Supports within 120 days of hire
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to self-initiate responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, coworkers, and administration
  • Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods
  • Complete all required training to maintain employment status
