GT Ventures, LLC is an e-commerce furniture manufacturer in North Las Vegas, Nevada. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Human Resource Specialist to join our dynamic human resources team.
This position will be working both independently and in collaboration with the human resources department, department managers and current and prospective employees daily.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and managing various HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, payroll, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws, and enhancing the overall employee experience through our company's guidelines and best practices.
Responsibilities
• Track, identify, and analyze staffing and retention trends, and provide recommendations for innovative strategic advantages
• Identify the company's hiring needs, and implement overall recruiting strategy with hiring managers
• Manage the recruitment process, including developing and updating job descriptions, posting job openings on various ATS (applicant tracking system).
• Source, recruit, screen, and manage candidates, resumes and job applications
• Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews for hiring managers
• Prepare offer letters and extend offers to prospective new hires
• Successfully execute and facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
• Schedule and facilitate new hire orientation
• Follow up with new hires and obtain feedback on their onboarding and training experience
• Source and attend hiring events
• Create, maintain, and manage recruiting tracker to ensure accuracy on candidates and hiring manager information
• Collaborate and communicate staffing needs with external partnerships as required
• Communicate effectively with employees regarding company policies, benefits, and other employee related inquiries
• Utilize HRIS (human resource information system) for payroll processing and employee management
• Support performance management processes, including employee evaluations and feedback sessions
• Ensure compliance with employment labor laws, including FMLA/LOA/ADA regulations, while maintaining accurate employee records
• Assist with collaborating with department managers on employee relations matters
• Maintain up to date employee files and accurate records in company's HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to track employee data and compliance with labor laws
• Assist and support the human resources team with additional duties as they arise, contributing to the department's ongoing success
• Scan and file employee documents
• Other tasks as assigned
Experience and Education
• Associates degree or higher in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred; or closely related field or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources.
• Minimum 1-2 years' progressive experience in Human Resources
• Experience as an HR Clerk, HR Assistant, Recruiting Assistant or Recruiting Coordinator, (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter) or relevant
• Strong knowledge of state employment (and relevant) laws, statutes and best practices is a plus
• Experience in working in a Warehouse/Manufacturing is a plus
• Familiarity with Paychex Flex or similar HRIS (human resource information system) and ATS (applicant tracking system) is a plus
• Desire to continue career in Human Resources field is a plus
• PHR or SPHR; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is a plus
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
This position collaborates with department managers and employees daily in a manufacturing industry.
Pay Range: $37,500 - $40,000 annually depending on relevant experience.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30 PM. Weekend work may be required based on the needs of business. Daily schedule may be subject to change based on the needs of the business and department.
