Description

Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience developing and creating apps via Microsoft Power Platform solutions? Join AIS and ensure high-quality application delivery while learning industry best practices as a Junior Power Platform (JPP) Developer Intern!

Purpose: This role supports AIS's purpose of providing technology that works for our clients and revolutionizes their business while providing service they'll fall in love with.

Major Goals:

  • Contribute to the development and testing of power platform solutions
  • Document and support application lifecycle processes
  • Build foundational knowledge of power platform best practices

Job Functions: The JPP Developer Intern is a member of our development team responsible for ensuring high quality assurance (QA), development, and documentation of power platform solutions.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Perform QA testing on applications to identify bugs, performance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Document system architecture, workflows, and application processes with clarity and precision.
  • Create training materials for the applications.
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting efforts alongside senior developers.
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute to project planning and agile sprint reviews.
  • Learn and apply best practices for low-code/no-code development.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, or C#
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and relational databases is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
