The successful candidate for the Material Handler/Helper position will maintain and attend to multiple, adjacent, semi-automatic production lines while ensuring safety and high quality. The candidate should be able to work independently with minimal direction daily and follow a regular routine.
Responsibilities:
• Meet with supervisor for daily goals and briefings
• Operate pallet jack, box blade and pressurized sprayer in a safe manner
• Maintain proper fluid levels in required machines for several adjacent production lines
• Measure, maintain and record fluid concentration for required machines in several adjacent production lines
• Ensure machines for several adjacent production lines, are always loaded with sufficient raw materials to prevent work stoppages
• Assist as needed with in process material supply to prevent work stoppages
• Assist as needed with scrap collection and disposal
• Support machine attendants with tool changeouts as needed
• Keep the areas in and around the adjacent production areas clean and free from debris
• This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and tasks as other tasks may be assigned
Experience and Education
• High School diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
Work Environment
This position will be in an indoor, non-air-conditioned warehouse, with evaporative coolers. Temperatures are between 50 degrees F and 85 degrees F depending on the season. There will be exposure to the heat in summer and exposure to machinery and noise.
Shift/Hours:
Monday - Friday 1:00pm to 9:30pm
Pay Rate:
$14.00/hr. to $16.00/hour depending on experience
